• YES - some of our therapists do accept insurance while some of our therapists are self-pay only. At this time, Mary Ann accepts United, Aetna, Cigna, all Optum, and Blue Cross. She is also a certified provider with Tricare but does not accept it as insurance. Jess accepts Blue Cross and Aetna. If you use a company for healthcare that we are not currently paneled with, or are working with a therapist who does not accept insurance, we are happy to provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

  • You can get starting with counseling by emailing us at info@restorationcounselingflorida.com, or you can call us at 813-645-8284. We will work hard to get you set up for an appointment that works well with your schedule with a therapist that will be a good fit for your needs. The process begins with a simple conversation or email with our intake specialist who will determine which therapist will be the best fit for you and will send you all of the information you need to get started. Our practice is entirely PAPERLESS, so there aren’t forms to print and remember to bring with you. You will be sent a link and access to a client portal where you can fill out your forms and request appointment days and times that work well for you. We want this process to be as easy and simple for you as possible!

  • The amount of time that you will be in therapy depends on your presenting problems, your treatment plan, and your preferences. Most therapeutic modalities are more of a marathon than a sprint. Expect to spend the first few sessions giving your therapist all the information they need to create a good treatment plan for you. These early sessions are also your chance to get to know your therapist and for them to get to know you. As much as 40% of whether or not therapy is effective depends on the connection you have with your therapist! After your treatment goals are established, your therapist will be able to set expectations around how long and how frequently you should be in therapy.

  • Absolutely not! We are trained to work with clients from all backgrounds and can provide effective therapy to people who do not want faith incorporated into the process.

  • Counseling is a HIPAA protected process. This means that we are legally bound to keep any information shared in the counseling process private, including the fact that you are a client here at all. There are a few exceptions to this—one is if you share with us that you are suicidal or homicidal. In these cases, we are obligated to prioritize safety over privacy. Another exception to confidentiality is if you share with us that you are aware of the current abuse of neglect of a child or elderly person. We are mandated by law to report these incidences. Otherwise, unless you authorize us (with a legal document and signature), everything you share with us is kept private.

  • For clients who are using their insurance benefits, the cost of therapy depends on your plan. Our intake specialist will let you know what your copay will be, if you have one.

For clients who are self-pay, rates depend on the training and experience of the therapist. Rates range from $135-165 depending on the therapist and there services being offered. Our intake specialist will make sure you know the cost of sessions before you proceed.
