Hello!

I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Jess, and I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the state of Florida. I earned my B.A. in Sociology from Purdue University with a minor in human development and family studies and my Master of Social Work degree from Walden University with clinical coursework in family and couple practice. I am a certified SYMBIS facilitator and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Do you desire a deeper connection with your partner, your family, your community, or yourself? I believe that the various relationships in our lives have a powerful impact on who we are and how we experience the world and I often incorporate a relational approach into therapy. This includes our relationship with our faith and spirituality. Whether you are strong believer, have experienced religious trauma, are experiencing doubt, questioning or exploration of faith, you are welcome here!

I seek to create a warm, accepting, and empathetic environment that involves working as a team with my clients to identify their strengths and overcome challenges. I work with individual adults and adolescents, as well as families and couples who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, ADHD, depression and other mood disorders, relational distress, family and marital challenges, and adjustment to life changes. I value the unique identity, cultural, and religious aspects of my clients’ lives and use an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities to ensure treatment is individualized. My approach is informed by cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, strength-based, family systems, and emotionally focused therapies. It’s a privilege to hear my clients’ stories and empower them to find healing, create deeper connections and be the best versions of themselves. I currently accept Blue Cross Insurance and Aetna Insurance.

I relocated to Tampa from the Midwest in 2019 and have created a home here with my husband and dog, Zeus! In my down time, I enjoy taking walks, biking, doing yoga, cooking, and spending time with those who matter most.
