Restoration Counseling of Florida is a faith-based professional counseling practice that places a high value on caring for clients and clinicians well while pursuing professional excellence. Benefits: 

This is a 1099 position; the therapist has the opportunity to set their own schedule with remote work days as desired. Opportunities for optional case consultation and staff activities will be provided to contribute to a positive work environment that supports the therapists' professional development.

Qualifications: 

Masters or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family therapy. The candidate must be fully licensed in the state of Florida. Registered interns will be considered on a case by case basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial intake assessment with clients to gather relevant information to their presenting concerns and develop treatment plans with clients to address specific needs and goals

  • Implement appropriate evidence-based practices and interventions and conduct on-going assessment to regularly monitor clients’ progress and update treatment plans as needed

  • Keep confidential, accurate, and up-to-date client records and clinical documentation, including treatment plans, assessments, and session notes

  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare professionals, school personnel, etc. to coordinate client care, as necessary

  • Attend regular staff and supervision meetings to review cases, discuss clinical and ethical concerns, and policies and expectations of the practice

  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards and practices according to state laws and professional licensing board regulations

Job type: 

This is a 1099 position. The therapist will be able to create their own schedule. The pay is per clinical hour (between $70 and $90 per session).

 The ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • The therapists must be motivated to develop and build a full caseload through clinical effectiveness, community networking and church partnerships.

  • The therapist must feel comfortable with integrating Christian spirituality and faith practices into sessions with clients as much as the client desires this integration. 

  • Preferred experience working with couples, families, children, teens or substance abuse. The ideal candidate will also be interested in professional development and in growing their knowledge and expertise. Priority will be given to therapists with advanced training in specific modalities such as (but not limited to) Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, ART or EMDR.
